Patricio Ramírez Llorens is a biologist specializing in conservation biology and biodiversity surveys, as well as a certified naturalist. He began guiding birdwatchers in 1993 at the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve and around Buenos Aires. Over more than 30 years as a birdwatching guide, he has led trips throughout Argentina, Brazil, and Chile.
He is based in Puerto Iguazú since 2004, where he is a licensed guide at Iguazú National Park and co-founded Yguazú’s Birders Club, a local group of the Argentine Ornithological Association. Patricio has taught numerous birding courses for beginners, published 10 scientific papers, co-authored two books, and discovered two bird species new to Argentina.
